Le P’tit caprice in Vouhé (less than 10 minutes by car): imaginative French cuisine (prepared by Monsieur), served in a pretty setting. Careful service (by Madame). Prices: 20-30 euros per person.
L'Amazone , in Ferrières (less than 5 minutes by car): authentic and tasty cuisine, served in a large room, not far from the Ferrières shopping centre. Easy parking. Prices: around 25 euros.
The 404 Bar in Ferrières is a large tavern-type place, with billiards, a restaurant (meat and fish, burgers, kebabs, boards, etc.), a selection of beers. Lively atmosphere.
Surgères (20 minutes by car) also offers a good choice of restaurants. We can point out Le Met's and Le Français brasserie (open Sunday evening).
Au Faitout , in St Christophe (15 mns away), is a small brasserie, taken over in 2024 by a young chef ; “homemade” cooking only.
You will also find McDonald's (...) in Ferrières (less than 5 minutes by car) but also a distributor of (very good) pizzas about fifty meters from the house: Gang of Pizza.
Finally, the commercial area of Puilboreau, 15 minutes away by the ring road, also offers alternative possibilities: New Asie (wok, sushi, Chinese dishes, all very fresh,) and A la Maison is a large room where you can enjoy inspired and imaginative French family-type cooking, are just to but there are plenty (American diner/pizza/tacos/Italian/Thai, etc.)
