After a first life as a press reporter for 15 years, I moved to Ile de Ré in 2003 where I set up the very first concierge service company for holiday homes on Ile de Ré and in La Rochelle. 20 years later, I sold this company and sought to move away from mass tourism in order to set up a quieter, more authentic project. A "longère" is a traditional, rural dwelling, developed "lengthwise" (as in "long") and is often perpendicular to the road . The J.L.F, which dates back to the 1920's for the main building, also owes its name to the first syllables of the first names of my 3 daughters.
Welcome to our place.
La Jolie Longère Fleurie encourages "slow tourism", the very opposite of mass tourism, which doesn't allow you to appreciate the moment.
Here you'll find hammocks, a cupboard with board games and books, which you can use under the pergola and its vine, or in the garden, in the shade of one of the many fruit trees, as well as a chess table, also located in the garden, a small swing for the little ones, a badminton net and an area for playing pétanque.
The swimming pool, heated by its dome, is available all through the day.
